A little about me…

I am a second-generation Christian; my Mama was the first in the family to accept Jesus as her Savior. She shared with me the good news about Jesus when I was 10 years old. I have heart for first-generation Christians and those who are one of the first because I have been there. I understand that learning to walk with Jesus without family to lean on for support can feel like drinking water from a fire hydrant.

Over twenty years ago, I created a Bible study called First Generation Christians and taught it at my church. The summer of 2025 after my Mama passed away and realizing how short life really is, I asked the Lord if there was something I should be doing that I am not doing. The Lord immediately brought to mind the First-Generation Bible study that I created a long time ago and felt God wanted me to turn the first-generation Christian Bible study into a book! So here we are!

I am married to Shawn Beyerle for over 18 years. We have one beautiful daughter. I enjoy taking walks with my husband and spending time outdoors. We love to travel as a family and see new places. We have a rescue dog named Marshall.

Before becoming a full-time wife and mother, I earned my Master of Social Work degree and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). For twenty years, I served patients and families in the medical field, helping them navigate life’s challenges with compassion and educating them on practical community resources.

I’ve had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom for the past eleven years, investing in my family while continuing to grow in my faith and serve at my local church. I also enjoy encouraging others whenever God open the door to those opportunities.

One of my greatest passions is helping first-generation Christians build a strong biblical foundation. I believe first-generation Christians shouldn’t have to try to figure out the Christian walk on their own. Through blogs, newsletters, speaking, and Bible-based resources, I want to encourage first-generation Christians to grow in their faith, understand God’s Word, and become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. I want to help first-generation Christians start a new spiritual legacy that will positively impact generations to come.
